Pennsylvania Elite Cheerleading, inc. opened it's doors in May 2002. After 21 years, the pbilosophy of this program hasn't changed. Pennsylvania Elite Cheerleading, Inc. provides a safe, positive enviroment where athletes of all ages and abilities can grow in the sport while learning life-long lessons in character, teamwork, commitment, responsibility, and respect.
We believe success isn't only measured in trophies, banners, jackets, or medals. We believe success is measured in personal growth, performance, commitment to yourself, your team, and your sport. Success comes when each athlete and each team works to outperform their personal best. The journey defines the champions! At Pennsylvania Elite, we are committed to making your journey one that helps you reach that success (on and off the mat).
Our Programs
All Star Elite
Full Season All Star teams for boys and girls ages 7 and up. Season runs from June-April.
Half Year Cheer
The all star expereince for less commitment, travel, and cost. Half year teams are for ages 3 and up. Season runs November-March.
Recreational activities
In addition to cheer teams, we host special events, holiday themed activities, open gyms, classes, clinics, birthday parties, and gym rental.
Choreography/Camps/ Competitions
Let us help you prepare your team for the season. We offer full or partial choreography and camps. Come to us or we can come to you.
Pennsylvania Elite also hosts 2-3 well-run competitions each year.

21-year reputation
This year, Pennsylania Elite is celebrating it's 20th season of operation. The owners Brett and Tracy Derr have both been involved in the cheerleading industry since they themselves were on the mat. Brett and Tracy add a plethora of knowledge in not only skill instruction but also in working with athletes of all ages. Both have a teaching background and work hard to instill more than just great cheer qualities into everyone that enters their doors. Brett and Tracy hold true to the values that started this gym and are proud to continue them 21 years later.
Safety First
The athletes safety and well-being is at the forefront of our mission. We have a zero tolerance for bullying behavior. We work hard to teach our athletes how to respect themselves, their staff, and one another.
In 2021, we joined forces with the USASF to promote safety in the All Star Cheer Community. Through staff, athlete, and parent trainings, Pennsylvania Elite proudly joined gyms across the country as a Safe at All Star Certified Club.
Safe facilities
Pennsylvania Elite is a fully air conditioned facility. The facility features a tumble track, rod floor, resi pits, full spring floor, 5 panel foam floor, restroom facilities, and parent viewing areas. Pennsylvania Elite has tons of equipment to help athletes safely work on skills.
Competitive cheerleading has been part of my daughter's life for the past 12 years. When Marleigh was entering 6th grade, she had plateaued at a level 2 skill set. She needed a gym that would challenge her. Marleigh needed to step outside her comfort zone and that is when I found Pennsylvania Elite Cheerleading. Coming to PA Elite, my goals for Marleigh were simple. I wanted her to develop proper techniques, advance her skills, and understand safety. Marleigh achieved those goals, but what I wasn't expecting from the gym was the many life lessons Marleigh learned along the way. I have the coaches to thank for that. The coaching staff at Pennsylvania Elite has integrity and solidarity. They provided so much in the development of my daughter. Marleigh became confident, motivated, determined, learned sportsmanship, teamwork, loyalty, and trust. During her 7 years at PA Elite, she experienced triumphs and she felt the pain of defeat. We started with rec cheer, but after one competition watching an all star gym compete, we knew we wanted more. Gabi joined PA Elite as a half year athlete. Our first season was 4 years ago and she is hooked and in it for the long haul. Gabi has grown as a base and in tumbling because of the instruction at PAE. Always being encouraged to grow and learn by all of her coaches. I love the small gym atmosphere because the coaches/owners know all of the athletes by name, but they also know your ability and push you to the next level.
